Installation of T30 Doors

Today we completed the installation of the T30 doors in the upper kitchen. We installed three double-doors made of cherry tree wood. 

The term "T30" means that they can whitstand a fire for at least 30 minutes. This standard is required at this location for the reopening. 

Another thing about these doors is that they have a built in "panic function": In case of fire an automatic closing mechanism is activated, however, the doors can still be opened from the inside (to serve as a fire escape).
