A short "history" of our fundraising for Shree Peetha Nilaya:

In the autumn of 2008 we purchased the former ver.di Seminarcenter in Springen, Germany, to make it the international center of Swami Vishwananda's mission „Bhakti Marga“. From that time in 2008 we started with the extensive renovation works.

In May 2010 the building authorities approached us. Consequently we started a first appeal for donations. Without financial means (for fire prevention measures and professional workers), we could never have complied with the requirements of the authorities, and the operations would have come to a complete stop. The first goal of 500.000 Euros was reached within a short time and works were able to start.

Back then we estimated a need of 3 Mio. Euros for a partial opening, and approx. 7 Mio. Euros for the completion of the project (incl. new temple & new church). With the help of many volunteers and thanks to very prudent financial planning we managed to keep costs much lower, leading to an estimate of only 2 Mio. Euros for the partial opening and another 3 Mio. for the completion of the center.

It was possible to complete many important works, as you can see here: http://bhaktimarga.org/about/Shree_Peetha_Nilaya/news

Thanks to the support of many it was possible to complete the remaining fire prevention measures (Escape ways, Central battery, emergency lights, fire bulkheads, etc...) and to fix the roof of the lobby, and have the building approved by the authorities.

In May 2013, the Bhakti Marga centre "Shree Peetha Nilaya" will open officially!!!
