Water Pump and Potato Field Update

Here is the newly built water pump house that provides water to the vegetable garden and the potatoes. It is connected to our rain water collection system, that allows us to use rainwater for watering the garden, which reduces our usage of water and therefore also our running costs.

Approximately 3 months ago we had an ACTION Day in the vegetable field where all the residents were found planting new potato buds which are now growing very well as can be seen on the picture on the right. The earth was carefully nurtured with compost and we tried to remove as many of the loose stones that were found as possible.
